PROGRAM CHANGE for May and June

Jim Driggers | Published on 4/21/2024
There is a program change I want to share with you all. The previously announced Members Night has been moved from May to June. For those like me who tend to procrastinate, join me in exclaiming "Whew, I get an extra month!" Other than the date change, all other elements of Members Night remain the same. Click Members Night for more information.

In place of Members Night, Brandi Mueller will present Bikini Atoll: Diving and History. For those who have dove in Truk Lagoon recently aboard the Odyssey, you probably know Brandi and the boat's skipper. You might not know that's she's been a captain for 15 years and a diving professional for 20 years. She's also an accomplished writer and photographer with her work published in magazines such as National Geographic, Scuba Diving, Smithsonian Air and Space, Lonely Planet, and many more. In this presentation, she'll share some of the post WWII history of Bikini Atoll (where the U.S. tested hydrogen bombs) in the Pacific Ocean and her images and experiences diving there.

Remember, Aqua Tutus General Meetings are open to the public. If you know of any history buffs or folks interested in seeing what lies beneath the ocean surface, an invitation to the General Membership Meeting - 5/2/2024 could be an excellent gift for them.
