Urchin Culling Stillwater Cove

Derek Suring | Published on 10/21/2024

Eric Sedletzky and his band of intrepid Santa Rosa based undersea adventurers are working to free Stillwater Cove in Sonoma from the onslaught of Purple Urchins.

They are currently closing in on 20,000 pounds of urchins removed so far, and would like to hit 25,000 by year end.

Diving every Sunday, they can also use shore support help and kayaks able to haul bags of urchins in.

You can find out more about them on their Scuba Board forum or on Instagram @PURP_707. You can also contact Eric directly via text at 707-318-2577 or ericsedletzky@gmail.com.
