Club members Jim Driggers, Gian Garriga, Dave Chervin and new member Walter Nissen dove Otter Cove on 3/12/2022 with shore support from Debbie Driggers. Amanda Kahn heard of the dive when she presented information on invertebrates as the speaker for the March general meeting and joined the dive with her buddy Joost.
Seas were flat and after swimming over eel grass and in-shore rock, we dropped down into a very thick kelp forest. There were few fish except for some Cabezons who were well hidden from free divers with spear guns. The invertebrate life was robust.
The tide was too low to get past the eel grass for a second dive at Otter Cove. Dave, Jim and Walter did a second dive at the Breakwater wall where the fish were plentiful.
