August club dive 8/20/2022

For the August 2022, the planned club dive is at Otter Cove on 8/20/2022. Otter Cove is just west of Lover's Cove on Ocean View Blvd at Siren St in Pacific Grove. Look for a turnout on your right after you pass Lover's 3. There is limited parking in the turnout, so we want to meet at 8:30 AM. There are no bathrooms at this site.
Otter Cove has a stone stairway that leads to a sand and rock entry. The tide should be sufficiently high to allow swimming over the rocks and eel grass to ease entry and exit. Beyond the rocky inner cove, we have recently seen signs of kelp that promise sightings of marine life.
Debbie Driggers is the point of contact. Debbie says:
I'm planning on Otter Cove at 8:30am We're going to try and make it a quick couple of dives and then head to Gianni's around 1pm. We're going to have a birthday cake for Larry Muth who will be turning 90 just a few days prior. Those interested in joining Larry's party, please let me know (driggers@astound.net) so I know how big of a cake to get.
