Andrew Middleton offers underwater diving maps

Oliver Edwards | Published on 8/5/2022

Andrew Middleton presented a talk about how mapping in Monterey has changed over time and how local seafloor mapping surveys with sonar at CSU Monterey Bay have put incredible detailed information in the hands of the public. Andrew assembles data from satellites, boats and even his artistic imagination  to create images that are more beautiful and useful than copies of the ocean floor. His new atlas of 9 maps of dive sites in Monterey and Carmel is called "Diving Monterey" and it can be found on the shelves of most dive shops in the Bay Area.
