Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park has an active guided hikes, Junior Rangers, and Ranger Cubs programs through the summer months; Memorial Day through Labor Day. A series of activities for the whole family. Park day use fees apply for Nature Walks and daytime activities.

Molera Ranch House Museum
Find out what it was like to live in Big Sur 100 years ago? Located at Andrew Molera State Park, the Ranch House is open for visitors Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. when a volunteer is available.
California Condor Discovery Center
Come learn about the magnificent condors and the reintroduction program run by the Ventana Wildlife Society.The center is open Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is located at Andrew Molera State Park.

WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca kicks off Monterey Classic Car Week Kick-Off with a classic car show in Downtown Monterey. See 30 classic race cars lining the 300 block of Alvarado Street (by the intersection of Monterey Conference Center and Portola Hotel and Spa) and meet the drivers of these beautiful examples of racing history while enjoying great music and giveaways.

You can also celebrate this kick-off event at Cibo Ristorante Italiano, also on Alvarado St, for a special Classic Car Week Driver Reception that will be open to the public at 5pm with complimentary appetizers until 7pm.

Come meet some of the drivers on the patio or inside the Cibo Bar. There will be live jazz music beginning at 5:30 pm.

Each year, the finest collector cars gather on the 18th fairway of Pebble Beach Golf Links to compete to be named Best of Show -- the ultimate award for automobiles. Experts critique their elegance, technical merit, and history. And crowds come from all corners of the globe to cheer their favorites. In tandem with the competition between extraordinary historic automobiles, the Concours also serves as host to some of the most anticipated concepts and new car debuts.

Pinedorado Days are Roaring Back!

The Cambria Lions Club is presenting “Roaring Back - Pinedorado Days 2022” The traditional Labor Day weekend event, dubbed “Roaring Back” this year, following a one year hiatus during the pandemic, is set for September 3-5. Kicking-off the three-day celebration is the Saturday morning Pinedorado Parade, winding down Main Street and featuring floats, dancers, bands, clown cars, and the Lions Club Calliope. The Parade is led by the Grand Marshall, always a Cambrian selected and honored for service to the community.

Following the parade, the Pinedorado grounds open-up with food, drink, games, music, and lots of fun for everyone. Visitors can enjoy the traditional beef and chicken barbeque, hamburgers, Linn’s pies, and more. The Pub will offer local wines and beers, and kids, young and old, will enjoy carnival games, while the very young can ride the train and cars. Each day will feature music, and dancing will be encouraged.https://www.cambrialions.org.

  • Encouraging and spreading the word about respecting wildlife

  • Unifying existing wildlife protection communication and education
Sea Otter Savvy
SEA OTTER SAVVYFOSTERS AWARENESS AND STEWARDSHIP IN CENTRAL CALIFORNIA COASTAL COMMUNITIES AND THE WILDLIFE-VIEWING PUBLIC TO REDUCE HUMAN-SEA OTTER CONFLICT AND DISTURBANCE AND INCREASE AN ETHIC OF CO-EXISTENCE.

The Sea Otter Savvy program was established in summer of 2015 as a result of collaborative efforts bySouthern Sea Otter Research Alliancemembers from the Monterey Bay Aquarium, California Department of Fish and Wildlife, Friends of the Sea Otter, and US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS).A panel of these advisorsmeets regularly to discuss strategies and upcoming projects.As we have grown and developed, Sea Otter Savvy has become a trusted source of sea otter information throughout California and beyond. Our community-based research and outreach program was recognized as a tax-exempt public benefitnonprofit organizationunder IRS code 501(c)(3) in 2020.

Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary's Advisory Council was established by Federal law to assure continued public participation in the management of the Sanctuary. Since its establishment in March 1994, the Advisory Council has played a vital role in the decisions affecting the Sanctuary along the central California Coast. The Advisory Council meets bi-monthly in open sessions located throughout the almost 300-mile boundary of the Sanctuary.MEETINGS AND AGENDAS
