Club members were quite active in October diving locally and on travel. Members diving reports related during the October general meeting are summarized below.

Dive Reports

• Jane Call did a trip to the Channel Islands on the Vision and said the ingress and egress has been improved. New charging rules are in place - a large metal case has been set up for battery equipment. A relaxed, good time. Did another dive at Van Damme with snorkel - lots of uni and abalone present.

• Gary - 9/16 - 9/17 North Monastery and MacAbee dives plus later Pt Lobos dives with ReefCheck.

• Dave - Pt. Lobos Middle Reef still has kelp. Last Saturday did South Monastery with ReefCheck - reef 100’ from shore has a ton of kelp. Lots of rockfish and cabezon.

• Dennis - Cabo San Lucas - was a little disappointed. Lack of life on bottom.

• Derek - Two dives on the Beach Hopper II off Lovers and MacAbee. Later shore dive from MacAbee, got better at swimming out past the reef and circling back on the Bay side.

• Dan - 9/24 Coral Street - good structure and found a large halibut. MacAbee 15’ vis towards the pipes. Active Cormorant treading water nearby.

• Oliver - Club DIve at Breakwater. Buoyancy and alternate air source breathing practice. Second dive was out the pipeline to Metridium but found an unusual current that took them to the front of the hotel. Search and Rescue helicopter landed close to the picnic tables.
