Dive Recap: Monastery Beach south. Great day, great dives.
David, Dan, Michael and Alan teamed up for two dives. The first, a navigation challenge to find and return from the rock wall at 50 ft depth located west-northwest of the south point. The second a simple out-and-return through the kelp forest. (bearing 330)
Conditions:
Wave height 18-24 inches at south end (~4 ft at center beach). Visibility 10-15 ft opening to 30-40 feet down below 30 ft depth. We dove close to the point on both dives, thus noticeable surge even at 50 ft depth. Air temp to ~70 with sun breaking just before the 2nd dive.
