Ad-Hoc dives = Organizing dives with club members

Aqua Tutus is all about diving!

Sure, we have a strong training program, great entertainment, and a welcoming social environment, but the end purpose of it all is diving.

So, how can you go diving in Aqua Tutus? Well, of course you can join a club dive. These are a great opportunity. But what if you want to dive more often than club dives? Or dive in a different location, plan your own adventure, choose your own dive date, get together with your buddies? Then Aqua Tutus supports what we call "ad-hoc" dives. An ad-hoc dive is any dive planed by club members, separate from the "official" club dive.

I know many of you are doing your own "ad-hoc" dives now. I strongly encourage all the active divers, who dive regularly, to "share" your dives with the club. How do you do this? By announcing the dive on the club website. Any club member can create a dive event on the club calendar. By creating a thread in the ad-hoc dive forum all members will receive a notification of your dive.

For less active divers, perhaps newer divers or newer club members, I also encourage you to propose dives ad-hoc dives to the club. You do this using the same procedure above. Perhaps you're looking for a buddy - post an ad-hoc dive saying something like "looking for a buddy". I'm sure you get the idea.

Anyone who want help utilizing these tools on the club website can contact Derek Suring, our communications director at communications@aquatutus.org or Oliver Edwards at webmaster@aquatutus.org.

Hope to see you diving.
