From San Francisco take Golden Gate Bridge and continue up Highway 101 to the East Washington Street exit at Petaluma. East Washington Street will turn into Bodega Bay Highway which will lead to Highway One via the town of Bodega Bay. Continue north on Highway One through the town of Jenner. Ocean Cove Campground is fifteen miles north of Jenner.
NEEDED:
We need divers, kayaks, kayakers and land support. That means, you don’t have to dive to help. You also do not need to be there both days.
There are fewer divers and kayakers on Sunday, so if you can only come one day or don’t like a crowd, think about Sunday.
PROVIDED:
- An air compressor will be available.
- Lobster bags.
BRING:
- A California fishing license is REQUIRED to participate in taking of urchin.
- Kevlar gloves or tools (cat litter scoop, pasta spoon, etc.) to move the urchin from the rocks to the lobster bags.
- Your own gear, including tanks.
- A clip to attach the lobster bag to your BCD. It frees your hands.
